LA-based oil painter and tattooer
Hunny is a Los Angeles based multidisciplinary artist working primarily in oils. Born and raised in Southern California, she studied drawing and painting at USC (BA 2015). Her work employs realism to explore the feminine experience — the opposition and intersection of beauty and violence, and the dialectical exploration of power, freedom and mortality as it relates to gender expression. Duality and the ephemeral are consistent visual themes.
Her work has been featured in Pitchfork and LA Guide. She paints in her home studio in Silver Lake and tattoos out of Jelly Los Angeles.
